carmel r.d. was born in nyc in 1989, grew up between the united states and israel and currently lives and paints in haifa.

in carmel's work figures are confined or preoccupied in dream-like and enigmatic spaces. her sometimes tense and geometric paintings examine the mute laws that govern how memory is poured into its molds, and how it escapes.
